Guitar Heat: One-stop place for all things related to guitar!

Guitar Heat is a different kind of guitar site from the run-of-the-mill you usually come across.  It has just about anything you could want if you love playing guitar, just want to learn or talk about it with other enthusiasts. When last time I visited the site, I saw many Guitar Books and Videos to be downloaded for free. These were books & videos by some of the legends themselves, like Vinnie Moore, Metallica, AcDc. Also from what I can make out is that there are almost regular additions to these sections. Also a must visit in this site is the Lessons section.

The Lessons section takes you from basic chord theory and construction through more advanced concepts such as modes and speed patterns.  Written in a style that’s easy to understand and illustrated with tablature, the lessons are explained simply and thoroughly. I must say about one of the lessons, Theory Behind Modes, I was never able to understand modes in a better and easier way before. What I like more is that all the lessons have suitable examples with them, also what I have seen is that the author is kind enough to reply back to almost all the comments posted. I made a personal request to the author to post a lesson on Guitar String Skipping, and he posted two lessons in that area.

If you want to talk to other guitarists, Guitar Heat has that, too.  The Community section is full of lively discussions about music, techniques, gear, bands and theory. If you want feedback on one of your songs, or want to promote you band Guitar Heat has a place for that, too.
